Stanza -3647
By Matthew Kurtz
Today is the day called Valentine's Day,
And that is something I am not pleased of.
For I must keep the fair maiden's at bay,
For though I am the one that they all love,
Any of them I have no interest in.
My love is not among the girls present,
For she does not like me, and kicked my shin,
Though presents for her I spent my last cent.
Is this not a most wretched holiday,
When greedy girls are after your great wealth,
And the one you love is oh so far away,
And she constantly wishes you ill health?
Forget not if you buy a girl some drinks,
If she does not care for you, then love stinks.
